International Air Transport Association, founded in 1945, is the global trade association of airlines, representing over 376 carriers and around 85% of global air traffic. Its mission is to represent, lead, and serve the airline industry by advocating for airlines, developing global standards, and supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective air transport worldwide. IATA provides also global, trusted services that help travel agencies simplify airline relationships, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality- whatever their size or business model.
